New York City’s fall events showcase the city’s style. With new boutiques opening, galas galore and pop-up shops for brands, this fall has been memorable for its fashion-forward moments. From the Guggenheim Museum to storefronts in Soho, here are some of the most stylish fashion events that have happened in New York City this fall.

Malone Souliers x Tabitha Simmons Launch Luncheon

Italian made shoe brand Malone Souliers has collaborated with stylist and footwear designer Tabitha Simmons for a second collection. Their new capsule collection was celebrated with a lunch at Coco’s at Colette, which was attended by Derek Blasberg and Karen Elson, among others. Inspired by British heritage and modern twists, the new shoe collection is perfect with the holiday season, with dazzling additions like sequins. These stylish heels and flats were designed by Simmons and Malone Souliers’ co-creative directors, Coco Fong and Valerio Bava.

The Guggenheim’s Oculus: A Celebration of Visionaries

On November 15, the Guggenheim Museum hosted a benefit dinner for their 2024 gala honoring Jack and Susy Wadsworth alongside artist Carrie Mae Weems. The event featured performances by Amber Mark, Esabalu, and DJ Mei Kwok, and was held in the museum’s iconic Frank Lloyd Wright–designed rotunda. Guests were able to peruse their current exhibition Harmony and Dissonance: Orphism in Paris, 1910–1930, which is on view until March 2025. Some of the stylish guests included Marianne Boesky, Gavin Brown, Jane DeBevoise, RoseLee Goldberg, and more.

Jean Shafiroff Hosts Cocktail Event for The Historical Society Of Palm Beach County

The Historical Society of Palm Beach County is a renowned venue known for being a go-to for Palm Beach history. It was established in 1937 and has regular exhibitions that pay tribute to Palm Beach history. Philanthropist Jean Shafiroff hosted a cocktail reception for the society, as they raised awareness around their upcoming exhibition, “Wish You Were Here: Tourism in The Palm Beaches,” which is on view at the Richard and Pat Johnson Palm Beach County History Museum until June 28, 2025. The exhibit features local souvenirs from the Palm Beach area from 1890–1920. Shafiroff also recently hosted a party to honor the Mission Society of New York, the French Heritage Society and Opera Italiano is in the Air.

18th Annual Depression Research Foundation HOPE Luncheon

Held on November 12 at the Plaza Hotel, this luncheon was hosted by foundation founder Audrey Gruss and honored actress Mariska Hargitay, who received the Hope Award for Depression Advocacy, with Chuck Scarborough as the Master of Ceremonies and the Medical Speaker Dr. Pamela Cantor. This organization is known for using yellow as a symbol of hope and several guests were wearing yellow to honor their research around depression.

The Brooklyn Mirage 2024 Season Finale At Avant Gardner

Brooklyn’s trailblazing music venue Avant Gardner is known for hosting the famed Brooklyn Mirage. Their fall season closing party was organized by Avant Gardner’s new CEO Josh Wyatt, formerly of NeueHouse and Fotografiska, to give back to the community before new updates are unveiled in the spring of 2025. Major names across entertainment, music, and fashion came out and danced to BRIT Award-winning indie band Jungle, along with local favorites Neal Frances, Fundido, and Lauren Murada. The event featured a fireworks show to close out the season of talents.

Odd Muse Pop-Up Opening

British ready to wear brand Odd Muse opened their first-ever pop-up in the US. It is open now in the SoHo neighborhood. Located at 55 Mercer Street, check out their boutique which will be open until January (depending on stock availability—they are a champion of slow fashion). The brand is known for their viral videos on TikTok, and was founded by Aimee Smale in 2020, who was just 22 years old. The brand is known for their stylish, quality dresses, party wear and stylish evening wear, and this pop-up is a perfect way to try their garments on fir size.

The Stil Trust, A Night Of Glamor at Bloomingdales

At the Bloomingdale’s flagship store on 59th Street, philanthropist and New York fashion icon Jean Shafiroff hosted a pre-event at the Yves Saint Laurent Beauty booth as part of the Stil Trust’s Night of Glamor. Shafiroff hosted the event as guests were treated to makeup touch ups at the Yves Saint Laurent Beauty booth, while drinking champagne and macaroons and mingling with beauty insiders. There was a panel discussion where industry experts talked about holiday trends in beauty and fashion.

The German Consulate in New York City hosted the Quadrille Ball’s Cocktail reception on November 18, as the 64th Annual Quadrille Ball is upcoming on February 8, 2025 at the Plaza Hotel in New York City. This year’s dancers gave a sampling of what’s to come at the winter gala, dressed in white tie and gown regalia. The annual ball is a fundraiser for scholarships awarded to qualified students enrolled at American or German universities. In fact, the Quadrille was founded to enhance and strengthen transatlantic relationships through education and cultural exchange.

Institut Curie Gala honors Jane Fonda

The Institut Curie was founded to honor trailblazing woman scientist Marie Curie, and every year, they honor changemakers. This year, as part of their annual gala in New York City on November 19 at the Rainbow Room, they honored Jane Fonda for raising awareness around cancer. Fonda has fought cancer herself. She said in a statement that: “Receiving the Marie Curie Legacy Medal is an incredible honor; throughout my experience with cancer, I’ve been committed to using my platform to raise awareness about the disease and its global impact, as well as to highlight the intersection of climate change and health.”

Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation’s 27th Annual Collaborating for A Cure Gala

This annual gala is held every year at Cipriani Wall Street for one of the most important causes—to help cure cancer. This year, the gala was held on November 21, honoring Mike Rawls, the CEO of Xome Holdings LLC, who received the 2024 Distinguished Business Leader Award for his commitment to supporting cancer research. The event featured a live performance by Tedeschi Trucks “Fireside Live” with special guest, Warren Haynes. Michael Nierenberg, chairman of the SWCRF Board of Directors said in a statement: “As we celebrate our 27th year, we remain dedicated to funding world-class research that leads to better treatments and, ultimately, cures for cancer once and for all.” The Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation was founded in 1976. Funds raised at the annual event directly support the SWCRF mission to eradicate cancer through innovative research aimed at developing less toxic, more effective treatments.

Leesa Rowland’s stylish Halloween party was co-hosted by Larry Wohl at the Angel Orensanz Foundation, an iconic church-turned arts venue in the heart of the Lower East Side. The event saw a stylish array of masquerade costumes tying into the black, white and gold ball theme. The event featured a special tribute to Studio 54 co-founder Carmen D’Alessio, who celebrated her birthday at the event. The night was inspired by Truman Capote’s legendary “Black and White Ball,” which brought the most iconic New Yorkers together for a star-studded soiree. The dance performance was directed and choreographed by Marcella Hymowitz with drums by Brooklyn United Music & Arts Development Center. The Event Décor, Cocktails and dinner were created by Hank Stampfl’s Revel Rouge with vegan dishes crafted by Chef Carlos Manansala and cocktails from Acquolina. Attendees included Marc Bouwer, Pedro Oberto, Tina Radziwill, Debbie Dickinson, Dottie Herman, and more.

The New York Women’s Foundation Celebrates 30th Annual Neighborhood Dinner

This women-led organization helps bring together and serve women in New York City, and beyond. The organization hosted their 30th Annual Neighborhood Dinner in the Bronx on November 13, with over 240 guests honoring advocates and grassroots leaders dedicated to advancing gender justice in the Bronx, and beyond. The night’s pre-event panel discussion led by members of the Bronx Economic Justice Project, which is a collaborative initiative launched by the New York Women’s Foundation to support Bronx-based organizations. The dinner honored changemakers who have helped communities in the Bronx, like Wanda Salaman, Executive Director of Mothers on the Move, Sanjana Khan, Executive Director of Laal NYC, and Mariana Ortega, Director of IT and Facility at Cooperative Home Care Associates. The event also honored former NYWF board member Mary Ellen Geisser, who received the Lifetime Achievement Award. She accepted the award on behalf of Joan McKay.

Nana Jacqueline opens first pop-up in NYC

Nana Jacqueline Holiday Pop-up Shop Party

Los Angeles based luxury fashion label Nana Jacqueline is hosting their first-ever New York City pop-up at 414 West Broadway Street in Soho until January 14, 2025. The brand’s co-founder and creative director Jacqueline Zhang (who co-founded the brand with Nana Li in 2016) opened the pop-up with a party featuring cocktails, champagne and caviar with attendees including Brooks Nader, Vanessa Fuchs, Georgia Hassarati and Bella Banos, among others.
