The film showcases NTPC Bongaigaon Salakati’s dedication to preserving the natural environment and promoting ecological balance. It was launched in the presence of Akhilesh Singh, head of Project, NTPC Bongaigaon, and senior officials of the station. ‘A Symphony of Sustainability’ beautifully illustrates NTPC Bongaigaon’s belief in the harmonious co-existence of industrial progress and environmental stewardship. This commitment is evident in NTPC’s operations, with a particular emphasis on maintaining ecological balance. Nowhere is this more evident than in the serene habitats around NTPC Bongaigaon, which have nurtured over 65 varieties of migratory birds in and around its ash dyke and township, highlighting the company’s adherence to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) parameters.

The concept and script inputs for the film have been developed by Onkar Nath, AGM (HR), NTPC Bongaigaon, and Madhurjya S Lahkar, senior manager (HR-Corporate Communication). The film has been directed by noted wildlife filmmaker Udayan Borthakur from Guwahati, Assam, with voiceover by Padmini Bramha, specialist – Gender, Women and Child Development, BTC. During the event, Sudip Nag remarked, “Today, we celebrate not only our efforts but also the wondrous beauty of migratory birds that grace our surroundings at the ash dyke and township. NTPC Bongaigaon exemplifies how industrial development can go hand-in-hand with ecological preservation.” Akhilesh Singh, head of Project, NTPC Bongaigaon, expressed pride in the project’s achievements, stating, “Our continuous efforts in environmental conservation reflect NTPC’s dedication to sustainable development. This film serves as an example of our ongoing commitment to fostering ecological balance.” ‘A Symphony of Sustainability’ is a visual journey through the vibrant biodiversity fostered by NTPC Bongaigaon and depicts the company’s role in supporting ecological integrity.
